Ingredients
- 1 ½ cup broken wheat/dalia
- 4 ½ cup water
- 1 chopped onion
- ¼ cup green peas
- 1 large chopped carrot
- 1 potato peeled and cut in small piece
- 1-2 green chillies (as per taste)
- 5-7 curry leaves
- ½ tablespoon mustard
- ½ tablespoon cumin
- Pinch of hing
- Salt to taste
- 3 tablespoon oil

Roast Broken Wheat/Daliya till it gets light brown. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, hing, cumin and curry leaves.

After the spices splutter, add onions, carrots, peas, potatoes and fry for 3-4 mins. Add warm water and salt and bring the water to a rapid boil. Add broken wheat slowly, mix it well and close the pan lid.

Cook till the vegetables are fully cooked on low fame. Once cooked serve with your favourite sides chutney or pickle or sambar.
